Ipswich South Bank The layout is an Imaginary British N gauge layout but based on the Ipswich area. Within the layout there is a cement works which is connected by a rail link and a road to a busy town. There is also a wagon repair depot which is a busy depot repairing broken wagons. Behind the wagon repair depot we have fuelling and washing plant to wash and fuel the locos. On the layout there is also a 2 lane fiddle yard one lane as a passing loop and the other will be storage siding. There is also a raise part of the layout which is a passenger line going into a terminus station called Ipswich riverside. This part of the layout will have automated running but it can also be manually controlled. The yard is can be operated from the front or the back of the layout with another person at the rear to change the points. The signals shall be operated by irdot controllers and will change automatically as the train runs past it. We have chosen to use readymade buildings but adapt some of them to our needs. They are mainly Farish Buildings but with a few other makes, and they will either be adapted or kept the same.
